Creative Karl
Karl's Art Gallery
Through the individual donations from friends worldwide Karl can purchase the paint and paper he needs to develop his keen eye in interpreting the world beyond his cell, a world left much to his imagination.
Perhaps it is this isolation from the physical beauty of a world beyond the prison walls that makes Karl's art so evocative and special. A scant reminder of what he is no longer able to enjoy and what we on the outside take so much for granted.
In 2002 Karl drew some rough sketches of his cell at Polunsky which we have included in his gallery of sketches. These drawings were annotated by Karl too which you'll be able to read if you open up the enlarged version. These provide a stark picture of what life is like living in a tiny cell with only yourself for company.
We hope to be able to add to Karl's galleries so please bookmark this page and make a return visit soon.
